The W.P.S.C Linesman's bag is a generous shape designed to carry everything from a computer to groceries or all your gear for an overnight stay.
It measures, 600 mm W x 410 mm H x 200 mm D .
There's a patch pocket on the front for the things you need to get to easily and a large pocket hung on the inside for more security.
Our Linesman's bag is made in collaboration with Nama Studio in Bangkok and is constructed from up cycled denim pieces left over from their bespoke production.
Each bag has a slightly different patchwork pattern depending on the pieces used by the studio. All the denim is 100% cotton, premium quality imported from mills in Japan. It is trimmed with natural cotton webbing straps for a neat finish.
A bag of enduring style and strength to suit all possibilities, work, the beach, shopping, short stays or trips to the farmers market.
Some background: The W.P.S.C. Linesman's bag design heritage is drawn from a vintage 1960's Bell Systems canvas work bag named a Linesman's bag, as they were originally a tool bag for telephone linesman.
We also draw inspiration from the 'LL Bean tote' of 1944, which is believed to be the original tote bag, a sturdy ice bag to carry ice from the car to an ice chest. The ice bag was later updated in the 1960's by LL Bean to become a functional 'boat and tote' bag. We adore the history and style of these utilitarian classics.
Small production is more sustainable than mass production.
We worked in small batches with denim off cuts which limits our production to a very small quantity.
